Lockdown Investigations - Police in Fontana, California are investigating a report of a weapon on the campus of Fontana High School on Friday, Feb. 10, 2023. According to law enforcement agencies, the Fontana High School campus located in the area of 9453 Citrus Ave, Fontana, CA. has been placed on immediate lockdown as police respond to the location for active investigations.

At the time of this publication, law enforcement agencies did not say if any arm has been located inside the campus. Authorities say the lockdown was imposed as a measure to ensure all students are safe as officials investigate the claims at the school campus. SNBC13 is inquiring to find out if the school has informed the parents of the students of the ongoing situation.

Just before 5 o'clock, after Fontana High School had been on lockdown due to a bomb threat, students were allowed to leave. According to a press statement, students in the Fontana Unified School District will be able to reclaim their belongings from classrooms either tonight or tomorrow morning. On Thursday, classes will once again begin.


Around 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Fontana school police put the school on lockdown and evacuated kids and employees to the stadium said a statement from the Fontana Unified School District. They tweeted that the threat did not appear to be genuine but that the children were still in lockdown as a precaution. In the meantime that police were looking for a probable explosive device, school personnel reportedly provided pupils with water and refreshments.

On Wednesday afternoon, FUSD chief of staff Olivier Wong Ah Sun remarked, "The protection of our children and the safety of everyone at our schools remains our number one priority." It has


been made clear by district


administrators and law enforcement that they will pursue criminal charges against any student who makes a threat of this type. This is a horrible joke that students are playing on each other," Wong Ah Sun stated. It's a shame this is happening more frequently, but we have to take each new danger seriously.
